This program is designed for students interested in pursuing careers or post secondary studies in the fields of finance and entrepreneurship. Courses offered enable students to learn a complete business model and to understand every aspect of business operations. The Academy of Latin and Collegiate Studies offers an enriched and highly-structured education that promotes strong academic achievement and intellectual curiosity. This Academy is designed for students who have a desire to go beyond the boundaries of high school studies and embrace the world of arts, literature, history, science, math and technology according to their individual strengths and interests. Students are encouraged to participate in the wide variety of college-level Advanced Placement and Dual-Enrollment courses to facilitate their transition to post-secondary programs. Majors within the Academy of Latin and Collegiate Studies include Latin with Classical Studies, Health Science (HOSA), Math, Science and Engineering, and Honors/Advanced Studies.
Emphasis is on providing students with the knowledge and skills necessary for success in design fields. Core academic courses are specifically structured to support the themes of the Academy while important design electives offer students both theory and practice in the applied arts. Dual enrollment options allow students to earn college credit while technology-oriented design classes are a pathway to scholarship opportunities.
