Girls Basketball

Head Coach: Lawrence Hanna is the head girls basketball coach at Northeast High School in Oakland Park, Florida, where he has played a key role in building one of the area’s most competitive programs. A dedicated leader and mentor, Coach Hanna emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and player development, creating a culture that pushes student-athletes to excel both on the court and in the classroom.

Since taking over the program, Hanna has led a remarkable turnaround, elevating the Lady Hurricanes into a top-performing team in Florida. His most notable achievement came during the 2024–2025 season, when he guided Northeast to a program-record 28 wins and its second Final Four appearance, establishing the team as a state contender.

With multiple years of experience leading the program, Hanna has consistently developed competitive teams and fostered growth among his players, helping them reach higher levels of performance each season. His coaching success has earned recognition across Broward County, including being named a Coach of the Year honoree for his outstanding leadership.

Known for his passion for the game and commitment to his athletes, Coach Hanna continues to inspire his players to compete at a high level while representing their school and community with pride

Brandon Pelletier is a dedicated and passionate baseball coach at Northeast High School in Oakland Park, Florida, where he is committed to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Known for his strong leadership and knowledge of the game, Coach Pelletier emphasizes fundamentals, discipline, and a team-first mentality that helps players grow in skill and confidence.

A former collegiate player, Pelletier played baseball at University of Fort Lauderdale, where he also served as a graduate assistant. His experience at the college level brings valuable insight and advanced training techniques to his high school program, helping prepare athletes for the next level of competition.

Under his guidance, the baseball program continues to build a competitive culture rooted in hard work, accountability, and sportsmanship. Coach Pelletier focuses on preparing his athletes for success in high-pressure situations while fostering a positive and supportive environment that encourages continuous improvement.

Kevin Hanson is a dedicated track and field coach at Northeast High School in Oakland Park, Florida, where he has built a reputation for developing disciplined, competitive, and well-rounded student-athletes. With a strong passion for the sport, Coach Hanson emphasizes both performance and character, helping athletes improve their speed, endurance, and technique while instilling values like teamwork, accountability, and perseverance.
