Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year!
It is an amazing honor to serve Oakland Park and the surrounding communities as the Principal of Northeast High School. As we continue to focus on teaching and learning, we are eager to celebrate the great accomplishments achieved last year, including the incredible gains Northeast made on all State-Assessments and reporting categories! With the hard work of our students and staff, our school grade is projected to remain a solid B, a testament to the dedication and excellence within our Northeast High School community.
Our three magnet themes in the Academies of Excellence continue to set the standard for innovation and achievement.
· Alternative Energy
· Industrial Biotechnology
· The Latin School
These programs consistently raise the bar, offering a rigorous college-preparatory curriculum for our high-performing students. The Latin School, Alternative Energy, and Industrial Biotechnology lead the district in innovation and academic excellence, equipping students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in competitive college programs and future career pathways.
Northeast has again earned the prestigious Magnet Schools of America awards of Excellence, National Award of Merit.
Our Cambridge International Program continues to make great strides. Over the past eight years, hundreds of students have earned the prestigious Cambridge AICE Diploma, securing full Bright Futures Scholarships for college. This program, rich in history, rigor, and tradition, offers students a path to unparalleled academic success.
We are also entering the third year of our 3 ACES Academies:
· Aerospace
· Cybersecurity
· Design Art Academy
These academies provide students with a three-course progression culminating in industry certification exams. Open to 9th and 10th graders, there are no academic requirements to join, and qualifying students may receive bus transportation to Northeast.
